Dear BioSPC Thesis Supervisors,
The call for PhD projects for the 2026 Doctoral Contract Competition will officially open on March 23, 2026.
If you wish to propose a thesis topic and supervise a PhD student starting in the fall of 2026, you must submit your project online via the dedicated platform: LINK HDR proposal Form
For prospective students, the application form for candidates will be available here: LINK Candidate Form (This student platform will remain closed and will only become accessible starting May 4, 2026, coinciding with the online publication of the validated projects).
Key Dates
Please note that this is a state-funded competition. Strict adherence to deadlines is mandatory to ensure equal treatment of all applicants. No exceptions or late submissions can be accepted.
- April 24, 2026 (23:59 Paris Time): Deadline for host laboratories to submit PhD project proposals. (The form will automatically close after this deadline).
- May 4, 2026: Online posting of validated projects and launch of the application campaign for students at this address: LINK Validated Projects
- May 25, 2026 (23:59 Paris Time): Application deadline for students.
- June 5, 2026: Preselection date (based on academic records, including M1/M2 grades and rankings).

- June 25–26, 2026: PP Department
- June 29–30, 2026: GENYX and IM Departments
- July 1–2, 2026: IMMUNO and MECA Departments
Important Rules for Submission
Mandatory Certificate: To validate your submission, you must upload the Certificate of Acknowledgment of the Doctoral School Rules at the last step of the form. This document must be signed by both you and your Team/Unit Director. Projects submitted without this signed certificate will not be considered.
One Candidate Per Project: Only one candidate will be allowed to apply for your project on the day of the competition. You are responsible for selecting this candidate and you must formally sign their application file. By signing, you commit to sponsoring this specific candidate. It is not acceptable to withdraw your support in favor of another candidate during the process (unless the initially selected candidate withdraws).
Public Availability & Data Privacy: By submitting a proposal, you acknowledge that the Project Title and Scientific Content will be published online for candidates to review.
Contact Email: Your email address will remain hidden by default and will only be displayed if you explicitly authorize it in the form.
Sensitive Data: Please ensure that your Abstract and Scientific Content contain no sensitive personal data (e.g., patient names, unanonymized clinical data).
